Using the MDCI (Mobile Data Collection Interface) Aviation Office can receive formatted SMS messages automatically. They can be sent by usual mobiles. For Windows Mobile devices there is a MDCA (Mobile Data Collection Application) available. Thereby sending messages to the system is simplified.

Aviation Office can receive the following messages:

	Start-up Message
	As soon as the crew obtained the starting permission a so-called Start-up Message will be sent to Aviation Office.
	Arrival Message
	The Crew will send an Arrival Message after landing. The current landing time will be shown in the schedule.
	Flight Operational Log (FOL)
	Besides sending Start-up and Arrival Messages you can gather additional information with MDCA during the flight. These information will be forwarded to Aviation Office after the flight and generate the basis for the so-called Aircraft-Logs.
